G&P Law has contributed to the latest edition of the Chambers Global Practice Guide: Real Estate Litigation 2026 – an international publication covering nearly 20 jurisdictions across Europe, Asia, and North America, providing an up-to-date analysis of the legal framework governing real estate disputes.
The guide explores key topics such as landlord–tenant relations, enforcement proceedings, security instruments, joint ventures, insolvency, arbitration, and interim measures. The 2026 edition reflects a dynamic environment shaped by high interest rates, accumulated debt, and a growing number of legal disputes in the sector.
Bulgaria in a Global Context
The Bulgarian chapter of the guide was prepared under the leadership of Petya Norova, Head of the Real Estate Department at G&P Law and Partner at the firm since December 2025. Her analysis presents the practical application of Bulgarian legislation in real estate disputes.
The “Law and Practice” section was developed with the participation of Eduard Milchev, Ivan Ivanov, and Gabriela Kostadinova, all members of G&P Law. The “Trends and Developments” section was also led by Petya Norova, with contributions from partners Georgi Georgiev and Dimitar Petrov, as well as Senior Associate Marin Sarafov and Nikola Drashkov.
The publication addresses issues such as access to property and obligations under lease agreements, liability for breaches, enforcement mechanisms, specifics of security instruments, and insolvency proceedings. It places a strong emphasis on practical court practice and the procedural tools available to the parties.
