Who are the people behind the G&P Law team? What does their work involve, and what inspires them? How do they spend their free time? Find out in a series of interviews, part of the #G&PLawTeam column. This time, we’re introducing the newest addition to our lawyers team — Atty. Aninia Nenkova. Annie has been part of our company since 2020, and as of early November 2024, she has officially joined us as a lawyer. She shares insights into her profession, her personal growth, and the motivations that drive her forward.
– How long have you been with G&P Law?
At the end of 2020, I began my internship at Georgiev & Petrov Law Firm (now known as G&P Law). I soon became part of the team, balancing university studies with professional practice.
– What is your role at the firm?
Law is a broad discipline, allowing me to engage with various interrelated branches. At G&P Law, I handle diverse cases involving relationships between commercial companies. Additionally, I work on cases related to flight compensation claims, under our AvioClaim project. Over the past two years, I have also focused on trademark registration and protection, industrial designs, and other areas of intellectual property as part of our IPfabrika project team.
– What inspires you most in your work?
The need to continuously step outside of my comfort zone and challenge myself in new ways.
– When did you know this would be your career?
When I experienced the satisfaction of helping someone and, most importantly, felt genuine gratitude from those I assisted. In those moments, I realized that all the years of study and sleepless nights were worth it.
– What aspects of the profession differ from your initial expectations?
The lack of attention to detail in many people can be disappointing. However, this profession has also introduced me to remarkable individuals who preserve their humanity and morals, serving as true examples to follow.
– What’s the best professional advice you’ve received?
Like many recent graduates, my biggest challenge was learning not to approach tasks mechanically, but to always incorporate a degree of critical thinking.
– What are your top three favorite aspects of your job?
Tackling diverse legal issues that require deep analysis and constant engagement.
Embracing independence and responsibility, which are essential for finding the best solutions to protect clients’ interests.
Meeting various people, with many interactions developing into lasting friendships.
